How do you burn DVD onto CD-r?
But when I go to burn it, it no sooner starts when I get an error message that the burn failed. I'm using Memorex DVD+R disks, rated at 4.7Gb. The file is a little over 2Gb. I'm using the DVD Video -VR function, which if I understand correctly is what I need to do to burn a DVD+R under Nero.

The files do not need to be transcoded to burn a DVD, but they do need to be demuxed (demultiplexed) and then remuxed into conformant VOB files by your authoring program (Toast 8, DVD Studio Pro, etc). You could install ffmpegX and use it to demux the files. Then all you should need to do is drag the video stream

So now I'm tempted to burn another track and close it for S&Gs since the -msinfo worked, and cdrecord automatically closed the disc but I could mount and read it. Or maybe there is something else. And as far as I'm concerned, they do. You can't run iDVD on iPod either, by the way. Either way, I feel compelled to repeat it to you once more; older Macs burn DVD's just fine.
